When you place an order, contact us or subscribe to Letters, we collect the details you provide. These may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details and correspondence.
Payment and delivery providers may also send us transaction confirmations, payment status and delivery updates. If you give us another person’s delivery details, please ensure you are authorised to do so and let them know about this policy.
The website also collects technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited and referring website, through Squarespace and similar website technologies.
Providing information is voluntary, but without the details needed for an order or enquiry, we may be unable to complete your purchase, arrange delivery or respond.
-
We use personal information to process and fulfil orders, arrange shipping, answer enquiries, provide customer support, manage refunds and resolve delivery issues.
We also use relevant information to maintain business and tax records, prevent fraud, protect the website and understand and improve its performance.
If you subscribe to Letters or otherwise agree to receive marketing, we use your details to send updates about Delaney’s work, exhibitions, music and related news. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
-
Orders and checkout details are processed through Squarespace and Stripe.
Payment card details are handled by the payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code. We may receive limited payment information, such as payment status, a transaction reference and the last digits of your card, to manage your order.
The payment provider also handles information under its own privacy notice. Please refer to the provider identified at checkout for details.
-
We share information where reasonably necessary with Squarespace and providers supporting website hosting, checkout, email communications, order management and payment processing.
We provide delivery details to NZ Post, couriers and relevant overseas delivery partners so your order can reach you. We may also share relevant information with professional advisers, or with authorities where required or permitted by law.
We limit sharing to information needed for the relevant purpose. Links to external stores, ticketing websites, social media and other services take you to businesses with their own privacy policies.
-
Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies to support essential functions, including the shopping cart, checkout, security and customer accounts where available. Analytics technologies may collect information about how visitors use the website.
Embedded content, such as videos, music players and social media features, may also collect information or use cookies under the relevant provider’s privacy policy.
You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie preferences offered on this website. Where required by law, non-essential cookies require your consent. Blocking some cookies may affect website features.
Further information is available in Squarespace’s privacy policy at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy and its cookie guidance at https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001264507-The-cookies-Squarespace-uses.

Subscribing to Letters is optional. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us.
Placing an order does not, by itself, subscribe you to marketing. Order confirmations, delivery updates and other messages needed to manage a purchase may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing.

Personal information is held in the website, order and email systems used to operate this business. Squarespace and other service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. International deliveries also require information to be shared with providers in the destination country.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure, and to ensure overseas handling meets applicable privacy requirements. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, including order support, resolving disputes and legal, tax and accounting obligations. Information is then deleted or anonymised where practicable.
-
You can request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We respond to access and correction requests within the time required by applicable law, generally within 20 working days under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020. If we decline a correction, you may ask for a statement of the correction sought to be attached to the information.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to request deletion, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy of your information, or withdraw consent. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and record-keeping requirements.
Where European data protection law applies, we process information to fulfil orders and related requests, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate business interests such as security and customer support, or with your consent where required.
Please contact us first with any privacy concern. You can also complain to New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner at https://www.privacy.org.nz, or to your local data protection authority where applicable.
